Also known as the Kethaki Sangameswara Swamy Temple, The Sangameshwara temple is dedicated to the worship of the Lord Trimurti. This is a combined form of Vishnu, Brahma and Shiva.

There is an old legend associated with the creation of this temple which is dated back to ‘Krutha Yuga’. Raja Kupendra, the Surya Vamsham king, got cured of his skin ailment with water of a stream flowing through a Kethaki Vanam (a forest comprising Kethaki flowers). On the same day, he had a dream where Lord Sangameshwara asked him to construct a sanatorium on a Shiva Lingam located in Kethaki Vanam.. The king did as he was advised and built a temple. It is said that the temple was constructed over a Shiva Lingam which was created by Lord Brahma. The stream bearing the healing waters was turned into a Pushkarini and was variously known as “Astha Theertha Amrutha Gundam” and “Dakshina Kasi”.
